Which expander for Perc H330?

Featured Replies

As my array grows I'm looking to upgrade my controller to a H330.

Am I correct in assuming that also pairing it with the Intel RES2SV240 expander will cause a slight bottle neck (turbo write, parity checks)?

Am I correct in thinking I need a 12gbps expander?

If so would a HP card like this be suitable: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144782254892

Or would I need an Intel RES3TV360?

My array consists of a few ssd's (on mobo sata controller for trim), a couple of nvme drives and 10 Toshiba Enterprise hdd's between 14 - 18tb.

Any guidance would be appreciated as I dont  want to make an expensive mistake.

Regards

You can see some real world numbers with a few different expanders here:

Thank you so much, I was getting mixed up with the different model numbers and card variation's.

Everything is clear now.

Thanks again.
