unable to bind primary video card in system devices

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,

i have 2 nice vm working fine with gpu passthrough (1 GPU per VM).

To do that, i add this line in sysconfig :

append vfio-pci.ids=10de:1c81,10de:0fb9,10de:2188,10de:1aeb,10de:1aec,10de:1aed pcie_acs_override=downstream,multifunction initrd=/bzroot
so everything works well

Since unraid 6.9, the system devices tab tell me that i am a dumb because i don't use PCI AVCS override in a right way:

Warning: Your system has booted with the PCIe ACS Override setting enabled. The below list doesn't not reflect the way IOMMU would naturally group devices. To see natural IOMMU groups for your hardware, go to the VM Manager page and set the PCIe ACS override setting to Disabled.

As i am a good guy (really ;) ), i removed the line in sysconfig, and after a rebboot i tried to bind my 2 video cards in the system devices tab. Unfortunately, for the first video card, the checkboxes are grey!

Do you have a solution or must i continue to use the 'dumb' method with direct modification in sysconfig?

by advance, thnaks, fabrice

(again, everything is working fine with my old method)

ps: unraid 6.11.5
