Still relevant except the way i915 is handled in recent versions of unRAID eliminates the need to edit the "go" file with modprobe. For versions of unRAID from 6.9.0 and onward see the release notes for how a particular version of unRAID deals with i915. Here are the 6.9.0 release notes for example. So just curious: I added Name: /dev/dri Value: /dev/dri to plex without adding chmod -R 777 /dev/dri in the console. It shows hw transcoding but is it actually not working? Also is there not hw transcoding for audio? That's really messing up my streaming for some reason.

Do you see the (hw) by the source and destination formats when you think it should be transcoding? Also you can look in the Sessions folder under your designated transcoding location and you should see files being created there as bits are transcoded. Seems like it's running pretty nicely although it does load a bit slower with the audio transcoding.
