RussellinSacto
Hi Guys, I have a stack of 1.5TBs that I had in another UnRaid system, and I know that one or two of them had been taken out of the array by UnRaid - I think for write failures... but I lost track of which was which and now I have them all booted up in a new UnRaid system and I can't tell that there's anything wrong. I can run the SMART reports with UnMenu. Should I be looking for values that exceed the Threshhold? Or at what point is a drive worthy of warranty replacement? Thanks, Russell Link to comment
flipz
Total noob here so take my response with a grain of salt, but if it's a new setup then why not preclear them all? It's a good idea to do it regardless and it will super-stress-test the drives. Link to comment
SSD
Normally you are looking for large numbers of reallocated or pending sectors. But a failed overall health would also indicate a bad drive. I'd n doubt about a drive post its smart report and get community input. Re-preclearing is not a bad idea, but normally not required. Link to comment
