January 5, 20233 yr Spoiler Hi everyone, I encounter some sort of bottleneck when trying to saturate my 10gbit link to the server (direct link from PC to server, no switch). Writing to a non-shfs SMB share from my PC (Win11) is always fast at 1GB/s: But when reading from the share I get only between 300-500MB/s (both a Ramdisk and NVMe share): Both machines are using a ConnectX-3 card. The card in my PC steadily blinks its LED when sending but when receiving I get very erratic blinking with pauses. Both RSS and multi-channel is enabled. iperf3 with Win-PC sending to the server: iperf3 with -R flag, so UnRAID machine is sending to my PC: With NIC Offloading disabled on the server side I get this: No reverse flag but straight from UnRAID: Spoiler Booting a Linux distro on my Windows PC I get the same retries but better speeds with NIC offloading off and Server sending: Spoiler Maybe someone is able to pinpoint the problem here? Thanks! EDIT: Looks like one of my SFP+ transceivers is defective. The problematic route switches when switching the transceivers around. I've ordered a DAC cable (been using fiber) off of Amazon and will report back. nas-diagnostics-20230105-0956.zip Edited January 5, 20233 yr by xploder270 new iperf3
