New server, cannot access remotely

Featured Replies

This is my second time building this server. Everything works great, but I cannot access it from outside my network to save my life. Remote access is green on the My Servers page, but cannot get in. I just receive the <hash.myunraid.net> server ip address could not be found message. I've correctly forwarded the ports in my pfsense router. I also tried Wireguard with no luck as well. Interestingly I was able to set up Overseerr through a reverse proxy and can access that fine outside my network. Any help is appreciated. I've attached the diagnostic zip file as well. Thanks

Your DNS server is not resolving the hash.myunraid.net url.

Go to Settings -> Network Settings and remove any static DNS server that might be set. Replace it with 8.8.8.8

Here's an updated diagnostic as well. Appreciate the help!

Please run this command and send the results to me in a DM, I need to see the full url the system is trying to use:

php /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/UpdateDNS.php -vv

Be sure to include a link back to this thread so I have context

DM Sent. Thanks again!

Thanks. The issue is not on your end, there is a problem with the DNS entry that we need to resolve.

For now continue to use one of the "Local Access" urls listed on the Settings -> Management Access page

Ok, appreciate the update. I saw that elsewhere in here and was wondering.... I'll keep an eye out for the fix. Thanks again!

Another question, I also couldn't get it to work with Wireguard, is that likely due to the same issue? Also, do you have an ETA for this?

For WireGuard you can just use your wanip, or there is a DuckDNS container you can use for DDNS. No ETA at the moment.
