March 5, 20233 yr I think I'm coming to the end of my journey with unraid. Freshly formatted array, new parity disk, Copying data over, and suddenly all my shares disappear??! My parity disk istower-diagnostics-20230305-2337.zip disabled and once again I'm wondering what's happened this time. Diags attached. Incidentally, someone should really fix the 'zip files are not supported' message.
March 6, 20233 yr Community Expert Disk1 is failing: 197 Current_Pending_Sector -O--C- 082 074 000 - 3008 198 Offline_Uncorrectable ----C- 082 074 000 - 3008 Parity dropped due to what looks like a power/connection problem, check/replace those cables and post new diags after a reboot, with array stopped.

Disk 1 failing, fair enough. But there was no power issue. It's connected to a UPS, and I have checked and replaced all the cables whilst fault finding previous issues.
March 6, 20233 yr Community Expert Power/connection issue with parity disk, not with the server, this can be a bad power/SATA cable, bad PSU, HBA problem, etc, not external power related.
