March 20, 20233 yr Hello, my question is both very simple and yet I can't find any solution....I have a GTX 1080 8gb from KFA2 and it's impossible for me to use it on my passthrough server! (Error 43) Is this card simply compatible???
March 20, 20233 yr stupid questions, but.... you do have another GPU at all on this setup? If you are trying to pass through the only GPU, the system doesn't have any left
March 20, 20233 yr Author Thank you for your answer ! My motherboard is an ASUS Gaming Motherboard – Z170 PRO GAMING and indeed there is a graphics chipset... My VM works but if I try to put the drivers for my GTX 1080 the VM crashes and I get code 43 Edited March 20, 20233 yr by ADVNC
April 5, 20233 yr Hi, I owned lots of GTX 1080 and none of them was incompatible. I'd say with GTX 1080 / GTX 1080 Ti I had zero issues on passthrough. Did you follow the instructions on GPU passthrough precisely ? Do you have these lines in your VM configuration ? <features> ... <hyperv mode='custom'> ... <vendor_id state='on' value='1234567890ab'/> ... </hyperv> <kvm> <hidden state='on'/> </kvm> ... </features> Also if this the only GPU in your system try putting this onto boot line: video=efifb:off
