Permission to perform action

Recommended Posts

At a point in the last few weeks I lost the ability to see my server with all my network devices in both windows 10 and 11. After some trail and error I was able to map the shares currently I have a root user and one other just for the shares. permissions are set to secure on all shares. All shares are accessable via both windows machines currently I can create and delete in the mapped shares, but I cannot copy into any of the shares or move files that are on the server. I get the error "you need permission to perform this action" not exactly sure what im missing at this point but id venture to guess its rather simple.

if any other information is needed i will happily provide it.
