Migrate data to new hardware and new install

Featured Replies

I have been running an UNRAID server for about 5 years now, and it's gotten to the point where there are enough little errors and annoyances with the way things are setup that I want to start over (new hardware, fresh install of newest version). I have two cache drives, a parity drive, and 6 data drives.

What is the best way to go about this?  Build the new system, load the newest version on a usb, and just connect all the old drives?  Will all the data just transfer over? I don't mind rebuilding and configuring all the plugins (mostly radarr, sonarr, deluge, etc), but I don't want to lose the hundreds and thousands of movies, tv shows, music in my library.

Essentially, is there a best practice for this, and is there anything I need to consider moving forward?

Thanks in advance
