August 16, 201114 yr OS: 4.7 I need to get this disk empty so it can be fully utilized as a cache disk. Last time, I think I made a formatting mistake prior to installing sabnzbd. Not sure if performance was affected, but I'd like to do it correct this time. There was nothing in the FAQ about this, and a search was not successful.

Do you wish to delete what is on the cache drive today? Or leave specific directories and files on it?
August 16, 201114 yr It's already the cache disk so just figure out what is on it and delete it. I'd recommend you set your Windows machine to show hidden files for this. If you don't want the files deleted then you're going to have to be more specific on the problem you want solved. Peter
August 16, 201114 yr Author Do you wish to delete what is on the cache drive today? Or leave specific directories and files on it? It can all go away. The data from this disk has already been rebuilt onto the (larger) replacement disk and it's doing fine.
August 16, 201114 yr Then just delete the stuff on it. Share the cache disk if it's not shared. Open the cache disk in Explorer. Click on the first item. Hold <ctrl> and click on the last item. Hit delete and answer yes to the prompt window. Peter

August 16, 201114 yr it is that simple. If you are not 100% sure how stable the drive is, you could always run a preclear on it to make sure it is up to the job. If it passes, then you can assign it to cache. you don't want to loose your data to a bad cache drive.
