Angelo
Hello, playing with unraid i'd like to move to zfs. I noticed that I still need an array device for the OS to boot/mount. Is there perhaps a way to bypass this and only use the ZFS pool. I would prefer to now use raidz as there is no need for a xfs drive/parity drive now for my specific configuration. Am I missing something or do I always need something to exist here for this to work with unraid by design? Edited June 12, 2023 by Angelo Quote Link to comment

It is currently a requirement that there is at least one drive in the array (a hangover from Unraid's origins), but if you do not intend to really use the main array then you can use something like a small flash drive to satisfy this requirement. It is expected that this requirement will be removed in the future (probably in the 6.13 release). Quote Link to comment
