6.12 - Cache disk temperature high

Featured Replies

Since the upgrade to 6.12 my nvme cache disk is getting very hot 55 degrees while it was 45 degrees max before. Any idea where the problem could come from ?

55 is not "very hot" for an nvme drive.

Its more or less the normal temp.

"very hot" would be >80°

(the default warning temps for unraid are set for normal, rotating, drives, not for ssds or nvme, you have to adjust them manually)

I understand but this has never happened with Unraid 6.11.5. I have seen even 58 degrees.

Maybe the activity has changed somehow (Docker, VMs or something) ?

I still would not worry much unless it goes up to the 70s range permanently.

No the activity has not changed. No plugins / VM has been added since the upgrade. Thanks for your response.
