MrChoke Posted June 26, 2023 Share Posted June 26, 2023 I'm absolutely struggling right now with my windows vm. I can get it to boot without any extra xml tweaks except the multi function device for the audio part on my gpu. It does require vbios but that doesn't seem super out of the ordinary. Boots up and I can do light computing tasks just fine, I can run furmark and it cranks out the frames, but actual games seems to crash the entire system pretty quickly, the whole system restarts, not just the vm. Maybe its a memory thing? But i've ran memtest without any errors. I had it working just fine for about 2 weeks until this started happening and it's been constant ever since. Also whenever a specific vm profile crashes I can never boot into it again with GPU passthrough working. I have to recreate the profile from scratch. I've tried various hyperv settings but they don't seem to matter with the crashing. System runs just fine either booted into unraid handling it's normal workload or booting directly into windows and playing the same games there without any problems. TCMapes Posted June 26, 2023 Share Posted June 26, 2023 i am having the same issue. Unraiid system crashes when I leave my WIN11 VM running over night. I come to my office and have to hard cycle the entire unraid system. At first I thought it was sleep/hibernation in the vm doing it but that was the first thing I turned off. I am running the latest stable release of unraid. I am thinking I need to roll back to the previous stable until they fix this bug. Never happened until the unraid OS upgrade. Quote Link to comment
