July 10, 20232 yr Hey all I wasn’t sure where this should be posted. Please feel free to move it if there is a more appropriate place for this post to be. I have my unRaid server setup so I have 2 different cache pools. One is setup as per the usual recommended setup, and the other is a 4GB Sata drive which is setup for my media. I set it up this way so as I get most of my media using torrents so while they are downloading they go on this cache drive and once they are complete they then can go over to the array when Mover runs. Unfortunately we are all still waiting on an update on the Mover function where we can see its status. For me this is an issue as over the last 3 days every time I check my server, Mover is running. I am assuming that Mover has been running all this time. So I had the thought that maybe I should stop the downloading torrents and wait for Mover to catch up and eventually finish, but will this mean that when I resume the torrents they will be writing directly to the array, or will those files move back over to the cache drive? Or am I doing this wrong? I don’t do heaps of downloading, sometimes I’ll do a lot, but most of the time very little is happening. I set it up this way because I thought writings directly to the array would slow things down, but things are running pretty slow right now. What’s happening right now is there are 40 torrents going onto the cache drive while Mover is happening and with all the work this one drive is having to do with a that, the download speed is suffering greatly. I’m very keen to hear anyone’s thoughts on what I should do. Edited July 10, 20232 yr by HomerJ Typo
