Can't connect to server over local network

Featured Replies

My server was running fine for months. I decided to add 2 more drives to the array. I shutdown and added the drives. I turned on the server and tried to connect. It wouldn't connect. So, I attached a monitor and keyboard to the server and could see the system had booted and displays the ip address.

The server is set to a static ip. The router has the server set to static ip. I can't ping the server from my windows box.

I didn't change anything except adding 2 drives.

I was hoping someone could look at the diagnostics and see if you can help

The network interface seems to be continually going up and down.   Have you tried rebooting the router.

i notice that you seem to have Jumbo frames enabled.   In my experience these tend to cause more problems than they are worth and provide negligible performance gain.

It was the network switch. When I rebooted it everything went back to normal.

Thanks for your help
