Unable to authenticate on boot of Unraid

Featured Replies

I recently move to a new town. Before leaving I shutdown my Unraid server and took the USB drive out for safe keeping. When I got to my new location I put the USB drive back into the machine and if would not boot up. I plugged in a monitor and keyboard to see what was going on and upon boot up, an error message of "selected boot image did not authenticate" comes up no matter what I do to the boot settings in the bios. It worked just fine before I moved, but now I can't get the OS to fire up. I do not have a copy of the USB drive made. I didn't think about it until this happened and I started reading the materials for what to do when this happens.

So my question is, what I can do now to get my Unraid OS to work on my machine. Has anyone run into this? Is there a simple fix to keeping my key, my settings, and my configurations. I don't know if there are some files that I can save off of the USB drive to another computer, then flash the drive and reinstall a new version of Unraid and then place the old key, settings and configuration files back into the folders?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try redoing the flash drive.

Jorge,

Thank you for your reply. I tried booting up with a fresh install on the USB drive, but I still ran into the same issue.

If anyone has any other thoughts, I am very open to suggestion.

If it doesn't work with a new stock flash drive there are other issues, are you booting legacy or UEFI? If UEFI make sure secure boot is disabled.
