Array doesn't start, server becomes unresponsive

Featured Replies

Hello,

When starting my array in regular mode the server becomes unresponsive. The UI shows the login screen but when logging in it times out.

The array can be started in Maintenance mode with no problems. I downloaded the latest diagnostics when running in Maintenance mode.

I would really appreciate any help.

Thank you.

Enable the mirror to flash drive option in the syslog server, start the array in normal mode and post that.

Is this it?

syslog

Yes, zfs cache pool is crashing during import, try this, unassign cache, start the array and then see if you can import it read-only:

zpool import -o readonly=on cache

If it works backup anything important to the array and re-format.

The import as read only failed. Does it mean that all the appdata on the cache drive is lost?

If read only still doesn't work most likely the pool is toast, you will need to format and restore from backups.
