One of my disks show a SMART Error (UDMA CRC Error Count of 9) and this is what the error log shows:

Is this a bad drive that needs to be replaced or is it just a cable problem?

That error is usually a bad SATA cable, replace it and see if it that attribute doesn't keep increasing.
