dricha42
All directories within a ZFS pool are being registered as shares in the Unraid UI. The UI mirrors directory renames/creations/deletions etc. The ZFS pool was migrated to 6.12. In the UI, the shares show as being located on the main array instead of the ZFS array. The shares can be successfully controlled (shared, permission changes, etc.). Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
itimpi
This is expected as all top level folders on any array drive or pool are automatically treated as User Shares, and if automatically created will have default settings. I agree it would have been better if the 'automatic' creation mechanism had included the ZFS pool but this is not how it (currently anyway) operates. If you want the settings to be different to the defaults then you need to amend them appropriately. Quote Link to comment
dricha42
Thanks for the help! Do you know of any way to disable this behavior for select arrays? Quote Link to comment

Having said that I am not sure what happens if you set a pool to not have ANY User Shares on it (i.e. Enable user share assignment: No) for the pool in question. Quote Link to comment
