how to manually transfer to new USB drive?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I got a USB is not read write error.
I would like to do a manual transfer to a new USB drive, but all the existing links to the docs are dead, and the KB/Wiki seems to be under construction.

Can anyone help?

I have done a back up of my existing flash drive and have a new one standing by.

The Documentation links at the bottom of this forum, and the one at the bottom of the Unraid GUI work fine for me.

You don't see that with the big orange under construction banner at the top?
And the legacy documentation is anemic with 3 Articles and 16 FAQ items none of which cover what I am asking. Maybe I am missing something :-/

These olds links work for you  https://wiki.unraid.net/Manual/Changing_The_Flash_Device

Not sure why you want to look at the legacy documentation as most of it is out-of-date.   What is wrong with the FAQ entries under the Unraid OS part of it which is far more comprehensive and relevant to current Unraid releases.
