Ewiz and Froogle.

Featured Replies

This may be old news, but I have never come across it anywhere else and it recently saved me about 10% of what I priced out equally at Newegg.

If you have specific parts to search for, try searching via Froogle.com - Google's e-tailer search.  If your item comes up, sort by price and look for Ewiz.com.  Clicking on the link to the product will take you directly to the site with a pretty good discount over their original site price (10%+ usually).  The cool thing is that this can be repeated for additional items.  Just keep a cart page open and use another to search and add - then refresh your cart.  Whena dded to your cart, the product description will be preceded by a [FR], to indicate the Froogle discount.

If something you're looking for doesn't show up, try finding it on the Ewiz site first, then use their product name to search for it on Froogle.

Ewiz's shipping is a little higher than some, but I still saved over $20 (almost $30) when compared with ZipZoomFly and Newegg, who usually have the best prices on total orders.

Hope this saves someone a few bucks.  Ewiz is an excellent store too...if you didn't already know.

I've found that http://www.pricewatch.com/ is also excellent for finding computer hardware deals.  For example, the cheapest SATA 750GB drive on pricewatch is currently $138.00. (Froogle's lowest deals are $150)

You have to watch the vendors on Pricewatch though (not that Froogle is completely safe).  I'd never use either without going to Resellerratings.com first (if a new vendor).

That 750GB hard drive comes from Memory Labs, which has a 4.41 lifetime rating on ResellerRatings.  I wouldn't touch them.  Pricewatch can be a decent reference though.
