Server hangs when starting the array.

Featured Replies

Hey.

Recently my server started behaving strangely, hanging randomly.

It has been rock solid for years, but now i can't even start the main array without kernal panic, the UI dies and i loos connection. starting the array in Maintenance Mode works fine.

Error when starting the array:

VERIFY3(size <= rt-yrt_space) failed (281442900004864 <= 1786707968)
PANIC at range_tree.c: 436 :range_tree_remove_impl()

Ran memtest86 twice with 4 passes each, both passed, no errors.

I have a few zpools, perhaps a problem with one of them. but i managed to import them all without any fuss.

Not sure what else to try. Dockers and VM are disabled.

Any ideas very much appreciated, diagnostics and screenshots attached.

thanks.

That looks like a zfs panic, strange that the pools would import manually though, try exporting one of the pools at at time and re-start the array to see if you can find the culprit, before doing enable the mirror the flash drive option in the syslog server and post that if it crashes again.

Strange indeed. Found the little bastard, it was my plex pool.
Reformatted the pool and restored from backup, System up and running again.

Thanks a bunch for your quick reply and help!
