Bzroot checksum error

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I need help, I have unraid running smoothly on an i3 6100 and mobo Asrock q170m vpro with 32go ram with a 1070 for years.

I had the opportunity to upgrade with an i7 7700k (I updated to latest bios for the cpu)

I can only boot if I put only one ram stick only.

As soon as I put the two 16g ram stick (in all different position) I can't boot unraid as I am stuck with bzroot or bzimage checksum error.

I tried

  • Change usb stick
  • Change different usb port
  • Untight CPU cooler as I read online that it could be an issue for the mobo.
  • Remove the '-' in the 'EFI-' folder name in the usb
  • Add the argument intel_iommu=on iommu=pt before booting
  • Tried different ram 4x4go, it does boot but unraid detect only 2 of them.
  • Tried a diffeent i7 7700k (from a friend) and I have exactly the same issue
  • I updated to the latest unraid OS and still nothing
  • All ram stick are perfectly detected in the bios.

Do you have any idea on how to solve this issue ?

Thanks for your help !

You could try this fix from the online documentation accessible via the Manual link at the bottom of the Unraid GUI.  In addition every forum page has a DOCS link at the top and a Documentation link at the bottom.   If this helps, why it should be affected by the number of RAM sticks I have no idea.
