November 8, 20232 yr Hello people, I have a problem with Windows, unraid or myself. I recently got fiber installed. And where the fiber modem got installed was the same place as my NAS. Its a repurposed PC filled with drives. I plugged the eth cable that goes from PC to NAS, to the ISP modem. I took another cable that went from NAS to Modem switch. I was able to get into the unradi GUI and was able to connect but now none of the windows SMB shares and folder show disconnected. Also windows is not seeing the //tower default location. Please help me i eat crayons.

How many cable ports does your PC have? How many cable ports does your NAS have? 58 minutes ago, OhH3llo said: Also windows is not seeing the //tower default location. Are you using a Browser or Windows Explorer? (Browser addresses are //Tower and Windows Explorer addresses are \\Tower...) You said you have a Fiber Modem. Yet from your description you actually have a Modem/Router. (A pure Fiber Modem would only have one Cat5 cable connector.) Is that "Modem switch" actually a simple switch or is it a Router/Switch? If you don't know, google the Manufacturer Model number. If you have access to the server using the GUI, please upload your diagnostics file in your next post. November 9, 20232 yr Author Sorry not to PC but to my ASUS router (has 4 +1 ports) THEN my PC. GUI comes up in chrome browser and does not show up in explorer. the fiber modem that came with my ISP has router/modem/WAP combo. I have the cat5 WAN out to ASUS router. And port 1 on the ISP combo to my NAS. I provided the zip for diagnosis tower-diagnostics-20231108-1825.zip
November 9, 20232 yr Community Expert You probably have a Double NAT situation (Google this if you want more info). This can present problems. (I would think that your PC on the IPS router is being blocked by your ASUS router because it is trying to break into the ASUS router. (Normally a device on the LAN side of the router will 'contact' a device on WAN side. Once this happens, the firewall on the router will allow traffic to pass though from that device.)
