This particular drive gets grief for being slower than others.  True, it is slower, but in a real-world application (like Unraid) you will not likely notice a difference because other factors are more limiting than the spindle speed.

 

Plus, it uses about half the electricity enabling not only lower power bills, but being able to go with a smaller/cheaper PSU which also saves on the power bills.

For $10 more you can get the Seagate full-speed 750G drives at Frys.  Power savings not such a big deal with unRAID powering them down when not in use.  Seagates are very reliable, have long warranty, and (according to people that have had to) very easy RMA process.

Three things to consider:

 

* I am just offering alternatives, not making recommendations

* Fry's limits you to two per household and does not offer free shipping

* Power savings matter even if you power down drives after 30 seconds - reread the PSU comment
