Another Log Parity Sync Help Request

Featured Replies

Hi all, I am new to Unraid and I am currently doing the trial and have been slowly learning and getting an array setup and operational. I am real close, but believe I have one last hurdle. I have one parity disk and four data disks. The disks are a mix of WD and Seagate brand disks (I do not know if that is an issue). I have a healthy array, but the parity-sync is stating it will takes days, over one hundred in fact, to complete. I attached the diagnostic logs and looked at them myself, but I do not know what to look for. Could anyone guide on what to identify in the logs that highlight the issue or do you see any glaring log entry that states what the issue could be? Many thanks for any help anyone can provide!

USB not recommended for array or pools

Ah, I figured it was something related to the setup. Thank you for the reply. So, is best practice for Unraid to get a PC that supports multiple HDs connected straight to the motherboard?

Or to a nonRAID disk controller
