November 26, 20232 yr Hello, I'm trying to test out unraid on my main desktop to see if it's a good solution to migrate my dedicated windows homelab to. I'm currently running into an issue where I can't get through the initial boot process. It keeps locking up at the command line "i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] VT-d active for gfx access." I've gone through and modified the bios according to the documentation, tried using a rear legacy USB 2.0 slot and a front USB 3.0 slot. I've also tried Legacy and UEFI mode with headless or GUI and neither are able to move past that point. I'm kind of at a loss at what else I can do to get it to fully boot now. Specs: Using a new Sandisk Cruzer Glide 32GB because it was the only one I could find locally small enough, unfortunately. I do have a couple of old Kingston 16GB's kicking around but I don't trust them for long term because of usage. Intel Aorus Elite X AX motherboard with a 14700k CPU, Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR5 XMP 6400 RAM, an Nvidia Gigabyte 4090 GPU and Seasonic 1200 watts PSU, if any of that matters. The specs of the pc I plan on using it on are much older but I can't imagine any problem my main desktop would have that would be causing it to freeze. Any guidance appreciated.
