networking switched to macvlan and I cant switch back?

I noticed today that my docker network was set to macvlan. When I stop the service and open that drop down list, ipvlan is disabled. I'm not sure when the change happened, what triggered it, or why I can't change back.  One possibility is that I did install "RTL8125 Drivers"

 

So far, I have not seen any problems that I'm aware of, but as I previously had stabiity issues I'd like to make sure I'm in the most stable configuration as possible to eliminate any possibilities or hypotheticals, in case I do have issues in the future

    Is bridging disabled for eth0? Ipvlan is only an option if bridging is enabled.
