bob654
Hi. I have 3 4 TB drives in the array and a pool of 7 10tb drives. But if I map the network drive in windows 11 or 10 I only see the array drives total size of 8tb not the combined total of 8tb + 60tb. The problem is if i want to move a lot large files to my new server i get an error not enough space. But if i keep the amount of files I want to move under the array size of 8tb that's works fine. Is there a fix or do I just put the drives back in the array so windows displays the correct capacity of the total drives? Quote Link to comment
itimpi
I think you have to have at least a folder corresponding to the User Share name on the pool for this to be included in the size. i guess the real question is why use a pool of that size to act in a cache role? Would it not be easier to have another pool of a much smaller size acting in the cache role for the array? Quote Link to comment
