I have been unsuccessfully searching for a CD and DVD emulator. I have some ISOs and would like to place them in a virtual drive on my UNRAID server. Why? So I can then rip the movies (there seem to be appropriate Dockers for this) or to directly copy files into my shares. Would anyone be interested in writing a Docker for this? CDEmu could be helpful in this regard.

No need for somebody to write one. You have one already if you install the "unassigned devices" plugin.

With it you can mount (and even publish) ISO files. Even permanently if wanted.

 

Thank you! I was blind. Just click on the 'ADD ISO FILE SHARE' button, and it works. It's almost too easy.
