Three NIC unRaid

Featured Replies

Guys.

Just want to check before i spend money.

In my unRaid box i have one standard on board NIC. What i would like to do is add another two NIC cards to the box. What i am planning on doing is using a crossover cable from each of the two NICs in unRaid and plugging each one in to a seperate NIC on each of my two ESX servers.

This way i keep the traffic relating to the VM datastore which will be on unRaid off my local network.

so before i spend money can unRaid support multiple NIC's

The onboard for example will be on 192.168.1.0/24 and the two extra NICS will be on 192.168.2.0/24

Thanks in advance

It has no GUI interface to manage them, but if on separate subnets you can enable them all using command line commands.  In the very latest beta13, I think you can have two on the same subnet.

Thanks for the reply mate.

Do you know what the commands are that i would need?

Is anyone on the site running multiple NIC cards?
