Pre-Cleared disks show up as "unmountable: unsupported partition layout"

Featured Replies

Running 6.12.6 with Unassigned devices preclear 2024.02.07. (in addition to unassigned devices and devices plus addon)

I ran preclear on 3 10TB disks and it completed successfully. The disks now show up as "Preclear" (grey) in the unassigned devices section of the main page.

I stopped the array and added 2 of the disks to my array and started it back up. When it started they had green status but under the file system portion of the disks it showed Auto and "unmountable: unsupported partition layout" I stopped the array and removed the disks for now but they now are "not installed".

I must have missed a step or done something wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

Click on the "Array Operation" tab and you'll see a check box to format the disks.  Preclear does not format disks with a file system.
