numanuma
Although i have read/write permissions on my Aperture share, i can't access the files on OS X and in Aperture because Aperture says i do not have permission. In the finder, there is also a folder and a red cross indicating i have no permission. How can i fix this? The files were moved onto the share over SMB, could that be why? Link to comment
dgaschk
Run the "New Permissions" utility. Link to comment
numanuma
I ran that when i first upgraded to beta 10 and since it's not drive specific, is it safe to run it again? edit: drwxrwxrwx 1 root root 376 2011-11-11 13:38 2004\ -\ 2007.aplibrary/ drwxrwx--- 1 root root 408 2010-12-28 18:57 2008.aplibrary/ drwxrwx--- 1 root root 440 2011-02-20 12:08 2009.aplibrary/ drwxrwx--- 1 root root 368 2011-09-24 23:47 2010.aplibrary/ drwxrwx--- 1 root root 440 2011-10-15 21:23 Film\ Photography.aplibrary/ drwxrwx--- 1 root users 80 2011-10-14 11:44 Network\ Trash\ Folder/ drwxrwsr-x 1 aperture users 112 2011-11-11 14:03 Photos/ drwxrwx--- 1 root users 80 2011-10-14 11:44 Temporary\ Items/ root@Tower:/mnt/user/Photography# I'm able to make and delete new folders (i.e. Photos/) but i can't delete any previous files nor can i add files. When i try to i get error -50 in the Finder. The user "aperture" does have read/write to the share and Samba is currently disabled for this share Link to comment
dgaschk
The user for Photos/ should be root. Run the "New Permissions" script. Link to comment
numanuma
Ran it again... Still the same problem ( ._.) Link to comment
dgaschk
Post the directory listing again. Did the owner of Photos/ change? It should be root like the others. Link to comment
