Docker Img is failing randomly.

Featured Replies

My server has been running smoothly for months. Recently it started to fail randonly where docker services are failing completely and only a restart can fix it for a few hours.

I am not sure how to read the diagnostic files so your help would be greatly appreciated.

Let me know if you need any kind of additional info.

Thanks in advance guys.

Mar  3 15:26:03 Tower kernel: BTRFS error (device nvme0n1p1): block=957896572928 write time tree block corruption detected
Mar  3 15:26:03 Tower kernel: BTRFS: error (device nvme0n1p1) in btrfs_commit_transaction:2494: errno=-5 IO failure (Error while writing out transaction)
Mar  3 15:26:03 Tower kernel: BTRFS info (device nvme0n1p1: state E): forced readonly

Btrfs is detecting corruption and going read-only to prevent further problems, start by running memtest since this can be the result of bad RAM.

How do you run the memtest? During the boot ? I understand you should keep it running for it to be relevant. Am I correct?

Yes, it's one of the boot options, run at least a couple of passes, but note that memtest is only definitive if it finds an error.
