I recently upgraded from my 10 year old 4770K and 16GB of ram to something a little faster a 5900X and 64GB..

 

Things didn't go as planned as I couldn't get the MSI motherboard to see the HBA ( Dell H310 6Gbps SAS HBA w/ LSI 9211-8i)

 

I had built a desktop with an ASUS MB and it saw the card and the drives so it's now in the server..

 

Everything works and seems to work well.. But the HD activity light flashes ever 2 seconds  It may be in sync with the heartbeat on the card..  my case (thor v2)  has massive lights so it's a little distracting.. Any ideas??

The option to tape over the lights is on the table..
