April 23, 20242 yr Hi there! I was able to bind my Arc A380 to VFIO at boot with no issues. I have a 7800XT that I also want to bind. The AMD card is for a gaming VM, the A380 will be used in a handbrake VM. I also have an iGPU as my CPU is an i7-12700k. I've attached my diagnostics for reference. IOMMU and VT-D are enabled on the motherboard, and I have the AMD-vendor-reset plugin installed. I had the GPU showing up right before I bound it to VFIO. Any guidance would be appreciated! apollo-diagnostics-20240423-1053.zip
May 4, 20242 yr Please review the 3 post of diagnostic starting here of generic steps and things to look for You may have a bad stub. I'm reviewing your diagnostic file to verify that you have both the a380 and ?amd 7800xt. I would like a picture of you system drivers / output of lspci -v on the g cards and/or vfio pci log for comparison to help diagnose. When you stub both g-card they should have a green circle, check box and vfio pci log should say ok.. Once stubed they can only be used in the VM space. You may need to run the Grub commands in the post for the documentation to fix the frame buffer / set headless mode... Step 3 is additional IOMMU options to help ease the G-card into vfio-pci optional edits to fix other things. but mainly confirm that vfio-pci drive in the kernel driver in use. unraid terminal command lspci -v Step 4 is proper VM/XML data --I Have yet to review your XML code. This is where you appear to need some help. XMl code can be edited to fix or change qemu options to a VM.
May 4, 20242 yr after reviewing you diagnostic. There was no vm xml config to view to assist. Couldn't verify iommu groups or g-card in system. But logs for bind / pci-vfio passthrogh logs showed good binds no error. Do you need help making a VM for passthorugh?
