Oh, also this is a brand new out of the package USB drive just formatted and setup for this project.... Myk

RobJ Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Because UnRAID runs completely in RAM, it is a lean distro, and does not automatically contain support for all hardware. Tom will usually add support for other controllers, as users request it however. I was rather surprised to see what looks like 3ware support in your syslog excerpts, but I suspect it is not complete and/or has not been 'tweaked' and verified by Tom. The drives and their partitions do appear available, but almost no identity info is showing up, such as serial numbers. I suspect SMART info is not available either. I'm afraid your 3ware controllers can not be considered compatible with unRAID as of yet. (You might check the Hardware Compatibility wiki page, although it is probably not fully up-to-date.) sdb: [LDM] sdb1 I noticed that your preferred parity drive took the longest to be set up by the kernel, and when the partition structure was identified, it contains an unusual label, one I've never seen, the LDM above. I don't know, but that may also be a problem. Be aware that the third drive has multiple partitions on it, so may have data you want saved.
