June 14, 20242 yr Hello I am running Unraid 6.12.10. I tried installing Home Assistant OS as a VM. I had an issue and removed it. I tried to reinstall it, and I am now getting this persistent error. I read in a forum on here somewhere that I could go in the xml file and delete it but I could not find it. I even created a new USB with UNRAID on it and paid for a new license. I am still seeing this issue. Is it on my hard disks and that is why I cannot find it? I also tried renaming the image file that HAOS is on (the .qcow file) How can I fix this and where is this xml so I can delete it if that is the solution. This seems like a poor design if I delete a VM I should not need to do all this just to create a new one with the same image. 2024-06-14 15-42-17.mp4

You will need to add manual options or use my usb manager plug to attach two devices of the same type

Yes it typically shows up when I search \dev\serial\by-id but I do not see that available in HAOS. I did add it in the VM and I also added your plugin usb manager. I am only using the one usb device.

In usb manager there is a option to connect as serial. if using vm manager you need to remove from vm template. device path will be have qemu in the path within the vm.

This is how I have USB Manager setup for a device mapping. the port number 7-4 is the value after the -. So if you have two the second one would need a new value i.e. 5 This is how it would appear in HA. I would use the /dev/serial/.... path in the config,
June 17, 20242 yr Author Thank you that works great! Amazing plugin! I realized I needed to reset Unraid for the 'USB' tab to show in my menu then I saw the options you mentioned.
