Hardware switch

Featured Replies

Hello

Maybe someone have experience and can answer my question. If i switch the Server Hardware but use in the new server the same Harddisks and USB stick which i used on my old hardware do i loose any data or configurations or the new system will start like the old one an i don see any changes? I'm using filesharing and some docker Apps on my current hardware? Does Unraid identifies the Harddisks based in their Hardware identifier or does the current raid controler which will not be at the new hardware have any influence on the disk id's, how unraid identifies the harddisks?

Thank you for your help.
