Multiple Subnets with multiple Ethernet cards do not work

Featured Replies

Hi,

I 'm testing Unraid right now and ran into a problem.

The scenario is, that I need multiple subnets on multiple network cards to perform different stuff. Before I bother to limit access to different services on different subnets I would like to be able to use all standard services on all subnets.

But so far, as soon as I activate (and configure) a new network card the other cards stop responding to services (webUI/ssh and so on). Only ping still seems to work.

I checked the services and ports and all are correctly attached to the dfferent network interfaces...

I think I must be missing some thing here ...

The webUI and ssh only work on eth0

That would be at least consistent. But the moment i activate a second card beyond eth0, eth0 does not work any more but only the new one.

If that is the case then you should post your system’s diagnostics taken when the problem has occurred.

I understood the problem. Linux does not return tcp packages via the incomeing network port (and so a possible route via a gateway breaks) but may return it via an other network port if the source network is connected/configured there.
