HI

I run a small IT business - I occasionally need to backup client computers when they do the wrong thing (Let "Windows Support" remote in and do nasty things etc)

I normally place the HDD or SSD into a caddy and copy over to my unriad server from my computer - even tho I have 10gb NIC - Id rather just plug it directly into my server and get it automatically copied over.

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated thanks

    I believe this was one of the original use cases of the Unassigned Devices plugin, where it would remember the ID of an external disk device, for which you can add a custom script to be run upon connection (such as copy contents to a share).
