Hello fellow unraiders,

 

disk approx, one month old, precleared before adding into array, was disabled and content emulated.

It happened during its first monthly parity check.

Fine, no big deal, I will replace it, or RMA it.

Sure, I can change SATA cable.

No harm to my data, as all important data are backup-ed to offsite spare unraid server.

Odd thing is that I cannot perform/nor see SMART report data.

I want to understand possible reasons.

Also to mention disk is now available under unassigned disks, it can be formatted or precleared, I have not done any of those.

It all started with these messaged in logs:

It's logged as a disk problem, and the disk is not even giving a valid report, so probably failed, to rule that out swap cables with a different disk and post new diags.
