Affirming array disk correct configuration

Featured Replies

I done bad.

I needed to increase my array size and because I was using directory drives from proxmox as the basis of the array, I just increased their size in proxmox. Unfortunately, I increased more than one at a time. I have not started the array since the changes, can't.

I have used proxmox at the cli to restore the drives to the correct size, but unraid still sees them as the increased size.

I have found a post that showed me how to ddrescue the data off one drive at a time, but I have no way of checking the data until I can get the array back working.

Has anyone got any ideas of how I should proceed? I am a relative newbe and really appreciate any help provided.  Happy to perform any tests and return results, but will need good instructions on how. Thanks.

A new config would allow to start the array, but no idea if Unraid will accept the new sizes without complaining, if the device capacity was extended, but not the partition, it will complain, but it should be fixable with a rebuild.

BTW, using Proxmox virtual disks is a very bad idea, you can have multiple issues with that.
