April 15, 201214 yr Author OK Guys, Really need some help here. Followed the guide located @ http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Installing_unRAID_5.0_on_a_full_Slackware_Distro for installing on a full slackware distro. Everything went well and the new kernel boots without any issues. However the keyboard and mouse are not responding. I can SSH into the box and everything else seems to be working perfectly. Anyone have any tips on what I should be doing here? It's just a Dell keyboard and mouse (USB). Both of them seem to appear in the dmesg output, so the machine is seeing them. lol - real pain in the ass problem - really need some help !
April 15, 201214 yr Author As a side note, I'm also getting a message after I select the kernel saying; Undefined video mode number: 305 Press <ENTER> to see video modes available, <SPACE> to continue, or wait 30 sec Everything boots just fine (although the text is a lot larger than when booted with the original kernel and there is no picture of TUX at the top as there used to be), except for the keyboard mouse issue. Anyone have any thoughts?
April 18, 201214 yr Author bump again. I've worked out the the keyboard and mouse are working after the kernel recompile. They just don't seem to be working under X (couldn't tell earlier as it was booting straight into X). I suspect that this might have something to do with the way that X determines what devices it uses - something may have changed between kernel 2.6.37.6 (the default for SlaXBMC64 13.37) and kernel 3.1.1 (the default for the unRAID beta 14). Is there anyone here who might know enough about slackware / X to guide me through the troubleshooting? I'm pretty lost at this point. Any and all help appreciated !
