July 15, 20241 yr Hello, I started the parity sync process 3 times now and it keeps stopping randomly. I have a N100 chinese board (SZBOX) with 32gb ddr5 ram. All settings in BIOS are default. Parity drive is a 18TB Seagate Exos. And I have 3 16TB Exos Drives in the Pool. Cache is a Intel Enterprise SSD 1.6 TB. I tried different things with settings in the bios. Mostly about C States, ASPM and all around enery efficiency. But this try was with default settings. All failed so far. I attach the syslog. I hope anybody can help, I am out of Ideas now. syslog-unraid-parity-crash.txt Edited July 15, 20241 yr by Nightdevil
July 15, 20241 yr Community Expert Unraid driver is crashing, this is almost always a hardware problem, start by running memtest
July 15, 20241 yr Author I did already a memtest a full day with zero errors. But I did it again today with 1 run. Seems like the RAM is ok.
July 15, 20241 yr Community Expert Solution memtest is only definitive if it finds errors, but since there's a small change it's a kernel compatibility issue, I would recommend retrying with 7.0.0-beta2, if it's the same, it's almost certainly a hardware problem.
July 15, 20241 yr Author in the meantime here is the syslog after rebooting and starting the sync with 7.0.0-beta2 starone-syslog-20240715-1633.zip
July 16, 20241 yr Author array sync did work without any errors with version 7.0.0-beta2. Thank you for the help. Looks like everything works without problems now
