Unraid Server Crashing Randomly

Featured Replies

My unraid server is been running for some years now, but suddenly it started crashing on random days. Tried to read the log, but since I'm a noob at this, could not find anything meaningful.

OS Version: 6.12.10

I am sending the diagnostics after the crash, also the syslog previous to and after the crash.

Anybody can help me with this?

Forgot to mention, when I come to office the server is still on, but not responsive. Does not even respond to pings on it's ip. The only way to get it back on is doing a force-shutdown and turning it on again. Also there is no error message on the display, the display output is just off.

I see an OOM error, but the log is being spammed by the mover, disable mover logging and post a new syslog after the next crash

Mover logging is still enabled, but these logs are smaller and don't see anything else relevant logged, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker containers/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.
