July 30, 20241 yr Help please - suffered a hard reboot and now my Cache is stating Unmountable: unsupported or no file system. Logs during mounting: tower-diagnostics-20240729-2123.zip
July 30, 20241 yr Community Expert Solution If the log tree is the only issue, this may help: btrfs rescue zero-log /dev/sdj1 Then re-start the array
July 30, 20241 yr Community Expert Not usually, but it has been known to re-occur, and if that happens recommend re-formatting the pool
July 31, 20241 yr Author @JorgeB - For some reason my cache seems to be set to Read-Only now. any way to fix this?
July 31, 20241 yr Community Expert Pool went read-only during the balance, there are other filesystem issues, recommend backup and re-format. Also see macvlan call traces, make sure you update to 6.12.11
July 31, 20241 yr Author Is mover a viable way to backup? or will it fail due to being unable to delete the readonly items?
July 31, 20241 yr Community Expert I believe it can still copy the data, it will fail to delete, but I would use a different tool, like midnight commander or the Dynamix File Manager plugin
August 1, 20241 yr Author Thanks! Everything is back up and running. In case I forget and have to do this again: Used Dynamix to copy the data off to another drive. -Stopped the array - erased the pool from within the cache pool settings - started the array & formatted the cache pool - Copied everything back to the cache pool - started up docker and everything checks out.
