epl692
My searching has not helped me, so I'm going to ask here. I ordered a new-to-me server from amazon, to replace my old one with a bad fan controller. The new one comes with drives, and they are all larger then my current ones. Exciting stuff. I just don't want to have to rebuild all my docker containers. If I create a new config, and then copy the old drives over one at a time, will my docker containers show up in previous containers? Is there a better way to do this? Quote Link to comment
dchamb
I'm not an expert but wouldn't the easiest and safest way be to move your current drives to the new hardware (keeping the larger drives aside for now) and start up the new hardware with the same flash drive from the old one? That way all your drive assignments and configurations would be identical. Then later replace the data drives one by one with the new ones. Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Get a Printout of the MAIN tab for the disk assignments. (If you do this, you will never need it--- Murphy's law...) Also do a backup of the Flash drive for the same reason. 1 Quote Link to comment
