August 23, 20241 yr Hi, i shut down my Unraid system to put in a new drive. I booted the system up again and I was able to connect to the GUI via my browser and log in. I started the array with my new drive installed and try to connect to my SMB share via my MAC but I can't log in with any of my users. What I tried to do: - i pinged my Unraid Server and its works - I changed the IPv4 to Static (to the one it choose by it self in the past) - I restarted several times - i restarted the SMB protocol manually - i checked "Export SMB" - I checked "unser access" for the share - I created new users - I created a new share - I tried to connect via IP address and DNS name - trie to connect from an other device What can I do? EDIT: I was able to setup my share via nfs and connect via terminal by mounting it to a folder - but still no SMB working tower-diagnostics-20240823-1800.zip Edited August 23, 20241 yr by productionrob
August 23, 20241 yr Try this, create a new flash drive using a stock install, no key needed, boot with it and enable the flash share, then see if that one works, that will show if the problem is with the current config or external.
August 23, 20241 yr Author Ok, I managed to do that and shared the Flash drive and I can connect to that a view all the data that's on it. Does that mean I need to create a new config on my old flash drive?
August 24, 20241 yr You can try redoing the flash drive, backup the current one first and then redo it and just restore the bare minimum, like the key, super.dat and the pools folder for the assignments, also copy the docker user templates folder, if all works you can then reconfigure the server or try restoring a few config files at a time from the backup to see if you can find the culprit.
